The Czech Government Council for Health Risks did not decide on whether it would extend the interval between the application of the two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine at its meeting on Tuesday and will resume the debate next week, Health Ministry spokeswoman Barbora Peterova has told CTK. The prolongation of the interval has been proposed by experts as a way to raise the number of those vaccinated and thereby ease the burden on hospitals. Even one dose of a vaccine evidently lowers the risk of a severe course of the disease, hospitalisation and death, experts say.
