September 28th, 2021

Poland's budget deficit is likely to come to PLN 30.9 billion (EUR 6.7 billion) in 2022 under the budget bill approved by the government on Tuesday. Tadeusz Koscinski, the finance minister, told reporters on Tuesday that the bill had been backed by the cabinet. It will now go the Sejm, the lower house of the Polish parliament. According to the adopted draft budget, revenues are expected to reach PLN 481.4 billion (EUR 104.7 billion) and spending is planned not to exceed PLN 512.4 billion (EUR 111.4 billion). The 2022 budget is based on an expected GDP growth rate of 4.6 percent, compared to the 4.9 percent expected this year.
