Gov't suspends debate on extending aid to firms, self-employed

The government on Wednesday suspended a discussion on a labour ministry proposal to prolong the First Aid project, which is supposed to contribute towards maintaining employment in Slovakia. The issue is due to be discussed at a meeting of the economic crisis management team later this week. Only then will it be decided how much the period for granting state aid to employers and self-employed should be extended, said Labour Minister Milan Krajniak on Wednesday.
