At its regular session on Wednesday, the Government approved a Labour Ministry regulation involving a one-off increase in child allowances for May to 100 euros. Child allowances for May will increase by 74.12. An allowance of 100 euros per child will be paid to parents in June. According to the Labour Ministry, the measure is a reaction to the increased inflation rate caused by the economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. The one-off increase will apply to 1.12 million dependent children and will cost some 83 million.
