Gov't approves 13th pensions as of 2020, doubled child allowances

The Government on Wednesday approved a draft law on doubling allowances for children as well as an adjustment to the law that will guarantee thirteenth pension payments for all categories as of December 2020. The Government aims to increase child allowances to at least 50 euros per month across the board, which represents an increase of 25,05 euros. The measure would concern on average over a million children per month next year, which should burden the state budget with a sum of almost 300 million euros.
