Glider pilot dies in accident in North Moravia

A glider pilot crashed directly on a roundabout on the outskirts of Hranice and succumbed to his injuries on the spot on Wednesday, local police spokesman Libor Hejtman told CTK. Hejtman said the cause of the crash was not yet known. "However, he was probably trying to land as he managed to connect with the tower before landing," Hejtman said. The police and aviation inspection will investigate the cause of the accident.
