President Andrzej Duda's rival in the upcoming presidential election, the Left's gay politician Robert Biedron, has rejected Duda's invitation to the Presidential Palace, saying Duda should first apologise to the whole LGBT community for his recent comments. The president has invited Biedron and his mother Helena, both LGBT activists, to the Presidential Palace, Duda's spokesman Blazej Spychalski told PAP on Tuesday. At a Saturday election rally in Brzeg, Duda spoke out sharply against the teaching of LGBT issues in schools, remarking that "we are told that LGBT is about people, but it's about ideology."
