Galanta Samsung plant aims to start producing large-screen micro-LED TVs

Samsung Electronics Slovakia aims to invest 36 million euros in its plant in Galanta in Trnava region to start producing new large-screen micro-LED TVs and monitors, a move that is expected to create 140 new jobs, according to a motion to provide investment aid to the company that has been published by the Economy Ministry. Samsung has applied for a state-investment incentive of 9 million euros in the form of income-tax relief. It will draw the money in equal instalments of 1.8 million euros per year over the next five years. The ministry has already approved the incentive, but it still needs to be greenlighted by the government.
