Freedom House: Slovakia's press as free as Great Britain's

Slovakia enjoys a free press as it is among 66 countries out of 197 in which the media are able to work freely, according to the Freedom House 2011 report, which monitors democratic developments in countries around the world. The remaining states have either only partial press freedoms (72 countries) or no such freedom at all (59 countries). Slovakia took 31st place jointly with Australia, Austria, Belize, Micronesia and Great Britain, thus climbing five places from last year.
