February 6th, 2020
Poland, Germany, France and Italy have written a letter to the European competition commissioner, Margrethe Vestager, arguing that the European Commission (EC) should quickly adopt an action plan concerning the principles of competition in the EU. The signatories - Polish Development Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz, German Economy and Energy Minister Peter Altmaier, French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire and Italian Economic Development Minister Stefano Patuanelli - have presented their proposals of changes to European competition laws. The four countries made the move a month before the expected presentation of an EU industrial strategy by the European Commission.
