Former special prosecutor Dusan K. refuses to seek plea bargain

July 7th, 2021

Former Special Prosecutor Dusan K. on Wednesday rejected a proposal of Pezinok-based Specialised Criminal Court (STS) judge Pamela Zaleska to conclude a plea bargain. A prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor's Office (USP) began reading out the charges, therefore, and the main trial will continue. "I'm not interested in a plea bargain," Dusan K. said at the beginning of the trial. He hadn't previously consulted on the matter with his three lawyers. The main trial of the former special prosecutor started at STS in Pezinok on Wednesday morning. He is facing charges relating to several crimes. The trial is scheduled to last several days.
