Former Slovak police chief to stay in custody

Former police chief Tibor G. will remain in custody, a pre-trial judge of the Specialised Criminal Court (STS) in Banska Bystrica decided on Monday, not complying with his request for release from custody, in which he has been in since last November. He is facing charges of forming, orchestrating and supporting a criminal group, misusing the powers of a public official and bribery.
