Former Polish finance minister to sit on central bank's board

June 4th, 2019

President Andrzej Duda appointed Teresa Czerwinska, who on Tuesday was dismissed from her post of finance minister, to the management board of the National Bank of Poland, presidential spokesman Blazej Spychalski told PAP. As part of a wider government reshuffle, Czerwinska was replaced by her former deputy Marian Banas. All members of the central bank's board, numbering from six to eight persons, are appointed by the president.
