Focus poll: Smer remains clearly on top, SDKU stops the rot

Had a general election been held in early May, Smer-SD would have secured another landslide victory while, notably, the previously slumping SDKU-DS party would have more than doubled its voter-support on a monthly basis, according to a Focus agency survey out on Friday. The poll, which was carried out between May 3-9, showed that Smer would have gained 46.3 percent of the vote. Next came the Christian Democrats (KDH) on 10.7 percent, upping their figures from April by some 3 percentage points.
