A "global fake news campaign" has been launched around Hungary's recent anti-pedophile law to "mislead the general public", Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in Luxembourg on Tuesday. Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting of European Union affairs ministers, he told Hungarian reporters that critics of the contested law have "formed their opinion based on that campaign". The law does not discriminate against any social group, it is "about just one thing: to protect Hungarian children", he insisted.
