Floods claim lives of Slovak women trying to save animals

Three women attempting to save animals in a shelter were swept away by the strong current of the Muran River that had burst its banks, Slovak police reported. One of the bodies was found on Wednesday evening. The search for the women was carried out by divers from the Firefighter and Emergency Corps (HaZZ) along with firefighters from Revuca and Rimavska Sobota (both Banska Bystrica region).
