Five men sent to prison for manufacturing, selling pervitin drug

The appeals High Court in Olomouc on Monday upheld sentences from eight to 13 years in prison given to five men from a drug gang for having manufactured and sold almost 12 kilos of pervitin (methamphetamine). The medicines with active substances for the drug manufacturing were smuggled from a network of pharmacies in Romania. The drugs were sold in the Moravia-Silesia and Zlin regions. Lukas Janecky, 41, whom the court denoted as the gang boss, was given the longest prison term, being convicted as a member of an organised group operating in several countries.
