Firefighters across the country have been called out a total of 210 times in the past 24 hours to deal with the consequences of the strong winds that hit Slovakia on Sunday, Katarina Krizanova of the Firefighters and Emergency Corps Presidium told TASR. Professional as well as volunteer firefighters had their hands full mainly with removing toppled trees from roads and parked vehicles. In many cases, they also removed torn roofs from buildings and houses.
