Hungary's film industry attracted a record-breaking 164.4 billion forints (EUR 465m) direct spending last year, 50 percent up from the previous year, the National Film Institute (NFI) said on Wednesday. The annual volume of film productions in Hungary exceeded 100 billion forints for the fourth time in a row, it added. International productions accounted for 94 percent of the total spending last year. Of the 319 productions registered in the year, 228 were Hungarian, eight were co-productions and 83 were international productions, it said.
