Fifty-six percent of Czechs unhappy with 2021 election results

November 8th, 2021

Fully 56 percent of Czechs are not satisfied with the result of the general election held in Czechia on October 8-9, which is similar to the share of unhappy voters after the previous election in 2017 when 57 percent of Czechs were not satisfied, a poll conducted by the STEM agency showed on Monday. Most people approached by the pollster do not believe that the election result will bring along a hope for political stability of the country or help find a solution to long-standing issues of the Czech Republic. The new government is being formed by the Together coalition, comprising the Civic Democrats (ODS), Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) and TOP 09, and the alliance of the Pirates and Mayors and Independents (STAN).
