Fifteen million Poles to receive compensations for electricity pay hikes

Electricity pay hike compensation will be directed to 15 million Poles and the draft bill will enter the legislative process soon, Deputy Minister of State Assets Janusz Kowalski told the Polish Radio One on Wednesday. According to the draft law, the amount of compensation will depend on the energy consumption in 2020 and will range from about PLN 34 to 306 (EUR 8-77). The total cost of the project is to exceed PLN 2.4 billion (EUR 558.2 million).
