Fidesz protests planned construction at swimming pool site in E Budapest

Fidesz is protesting alleged plans by "Budapest's left-liberal leadership" to allow construction at the site of a former open-air swimming pool complex in Cinkota, in the eastern suburbs of the city, a ruling party lawmaker told a press conference on Tuesday. Kristof Szatmari said the metropolitan council was conducting a review of the capital's zoning rules under which the site of the recreational grounds may be classified as a development area.
