Fico urges stronger resistance to food quality double standards

Smer-SD leader Robert Fico on Monday urged stronger resistance to the dual quality of food at the political level, arguing that the issue was unethical and created various categories of citizens in the EU. At the same time, Fico praised the European directive dealing with the issue that was adopted in April and the efforts of Agriculture Minister Gabriela Matecna, who actively pushed through this topic at the European level. The new directive modifies, among other things, the directive on unfair commercial practices in the internal market.
