Fico: Smer to urge EC to take action against government

Smer-SD head Robert Fico announced on Monday that his party is contacting the European Commission, as it wants it to take action against the Slovak Government for its alleged violations of human rights and principles of the rule of law. Fico described the situation in Slovakia as a reminder of what can happen when "uneducated, inexperienced people, often with a dubious past, come to power".
