Fico: Slovak economy allows family benefit hike

The Slovak economy is in good enough shape to bear the burden of the raised family benefit for working parents, ruling Smer-SD head Robert Fico said on Friday. The raise, which will impact some 140,000 people, will impact mainly women who worked before the birth of their children.
