People's living standards should not go down even due to the coronavirus outbreak, opposition Smer-SD party chairman Robert Fico told a news conference on Tuesday, vowing that his party would not allow living standards to fall. There are three areas where Fico sees a threat: the minimum wage, the Labour Code and the cancellation of thirteenth pensions. Therefore, he called on trade unions and the Slovak Pensioners Association (JDS) to help defend the living standards that have been achieved from the current government.
