Fico: Govt manifesto ignores pandemic's year-long rampage through country

Prime Minister Eduard Heger is neither prepared nor fit to be prime minister, as evidenced by his "mindless" pitch for the government manifesto in parliament, head of the opposition Smer-SD party Robert Fico said on Tuesday following the vote in which Heger's cabinet obtained confidence from the House. "The government didn't take a stance on the more than 11,700 Covid-19 victims in a single section of the manifesto," said Fico, arguing that the cabinet had failed to notice that "a pandemic with catastrophic impacts has been ravaging the country for the past year".
