Fico calls on Kollar to resign over 'unethical behaviour'

September 7th, 2020

Smer-SD chair Robert Fico on Monday called on House Chair Boris Kollar to step down over what he called "unethical behaviour". Speaking at a press conference, Fico pointed to the We Are Family leader's alleged private flirtatious chat with a transgender model, which was covered only by the tabloids. Fico criticised the media for having information on Kollar's "unethical behaviour" and opting not to publish it. The Smer-SD chairman underlined that Kollar has not denied exchanging chats with the transgender model. "He didn't say it wasn't true," said Fico, adding that the information confirmed a "deep personal, ethical and moral failure on the part of the parliamentary chairman". However, he said Smer-SD would not submit any proposal to have Kollar ousted, but instead expects him to resign of his own volition.
