The recognition of separatist republics in eastern Ukraine and subsequent military intervention of Russia is "an act of aggression against a sovereign state and a breach of international law", Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said in the lower house of Czech parliament on Tuesday. He added that NATO was likely to reinforce its military presence in the eastern part of the alliance. The Czech Republic supports tough EU sanctions against Russia, he said. "The recognition of the separatist republics in eastern Ukraine and the subsequent launch of a military mission is a clear act of aggression on the part of Russia against the sovereign state. It is an obvious violation of international law," Fiala said.
