Far more TV viewers watch ice hockey game than EP election debate

More than two million people watched the public Czech Television (CT) live broadcast of the ice hockey quarterfinal match between Czechia and Germany played at the world championships on Thursday, while 262,000 watched a CT debate of Czech party heads before the EP elections. CT spokeswoman Karolina Binkova told CTK that 2.74 million people watched the last period of the match in which the Czech team won 5-1 and advanced to the semifinal.
