Eva Kurrayova has become director of the National Crime Agency (NAKA), Police Corps Presidium spokesman Michal Slivka told TASR on Friday. Kurrayova underwent a regular selection procedure and will assume the post as of August 1. A five-member selection committee featured representatives of the police, the Interior Ministry, the Prosecutor General's Office and the Police Corps trade unions. Kurrayova also undertook a lie-detector test, Slivka said. "She passed a demanding selection procedure with the best result, which is a sign of high quality and professionalism for me," Police Corps President Peter Kovarik said. "She will assume the post in a difficult period and I expect her to show high commitment and resolution."
