Many social and occupational groups including teachers, lawyers, farmers and disabled people will participate in the 'Poland in Europe' march, organised by the European Coalition opposition grouping for European Parliament (EP) elections, on May 18 in Warsaw. The organisation of the "great European march" was announced at the end of April by Grzegorz Schetyna, the leader of the main opposition party Civic Platform (PO). According to the organisers, the march will gather 50,000 participants. The demonstration is to pass through Marszałkowska Street, from Bankowy Square to Konstytucji Square.
