Eurobarometer: Slovaks put more hope in EU than own state in COVID crisis

The novel coronavirus pandemic has reinforced the conviction of Europeans, including Slovaks, that the EU is the right place to address a crisis and its impacts, according to the latest Eurobarometer survey conducted among respondents from the 27 EU countries. Sixty-four percent of Slovaks declared an optimistic view of the future of the EU. A total of 47 percent of Slovaks consider EU membership to be a good thing, and as many as 81 percent believe that Slovakia benefits from it.
