EU to sanction Russian officials responsible for Navalny's imprisonment

The EU will impose sanctions on Russian individuals involved in the imprisonment of opposition activist Alexei Navalny. "We managed to reach a consensus very quickly on one point (...), the imposition of EU sanctions on those found guilty of the unlawful detention and imprisonment of Alexei Navalny," Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau said after a meeting of EU foreign ministers.
