EU funding at nearly EUR 3,000 per capita since 2004

May 10th, 2019

EU funding received by Poland since its 2004 accession to the community comes to nearly EUR 3,000 per capita, Investment and Development Minister Jerzy Kwieciński said on Friday, opening the EU Funding Open Days in Warsaw. Kwieciński said that since 2004 Poland has received EUR 163.7 billion in EU funds, three time as much as it has paid into the EU till, and stressed that this helped the country make "a huge leap forward." "We are beginning to catch up with, and even overtake, other EU countries," Kwieciński said.
