The European Commission (EC) on Friday said that 880 million euros have been allocated from Cohesion Policy funds for two major projects to support the modernisation of Poland's rail network, increasing rail transport efficiency and safety. Both projects, which are to start in January 2023, guarantee the promotion of the rail system as an ecological and competitive method of nationwide transport, said an EC communique.
