Enviro Ministry wants waste to be registered according to composition

The Environment Ministry is suggesting that plastic waste should be registered according to its chemical composition in order to gain more precise statistical data on individual types of plastic packaging. The ministry has already presented the proposal for interdepartmental comment proceedings. The data proved to be necessary when the analyses for the implementation of PET bottle and can deposits were being drawn up. It should be used to improve analyses on waste management, for example.
