Eight hospitals ask Czech army to help with COVID patients

Eight hospitals in South Moravia, including both big teaching hospitals in Brno, have asked for military assistance in dealing with the current autumn coronavirus wave, the region's governor Jan Grolich said. After a meeting of the regional crisis staff on Tuesday, it was announced that six hospitals asked for the assistance. Later, two more hospitals addressed the crisis staff with the same request. The regional authorities will also address volunteers trained by the Czech Red Cross.
