Education minister calls on teachers to be vaccinated before new academic year

Education Minister Branislav Groehling has called on teachers to have themselves vaccinated against COVID-19, stressing that its imperative that schools should be a safe environment in the upcoming academic year. According to the minister, the higher the vaccination rate at schools, the slower the spread of coronavirus will be in classes. One risk factor in this regard is the average age of teaching staff, which currently stands at 45 years.
