Economic Sentiment Indicator in Slovakia up in June

Confidence in Slovakia's economy in June was slightly more optimistic compared to a partial deterioration in May, as the seasonally-adjusted Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) increased by 3.9 percentage points to 107, reaching its highest level since September 2017, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday. Confidence increased most significantly in industry, less significantly in business, construction and among consumers. Conversely, it slightly decreased in services. The current value of the IES is much more optimistic than in the same period last year and is slightly above the long-term average.
