EC to monitor election preparations in Poland

The European Commission (EC) will follow preparations for future elections in Poland after the country's ruling United Right camp agreed to postpone the presidential poll, originally planned for May 10, EU Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders said on Thursday, Reynders said during a sitting of the European Parliament's Justice (LIBE) Committee that he had learnt of the postponement decision on Thursday morning and was glad a debate on the matter was ongoing in Polish society.
