EC: Slovakia GDP to drop by 9 pc in 2020

July 7th, 2020

Slovakia's GDP is expected to fall by 9 percent this year rather than the 6.7 percent originally predicted by the European Commission in its spring prognosis. In 2021, GDP should grow by 7.4 percent, while in the spring prognosis the EC envisaged the figure at 6.6 percent. Slovakia should post the second fastest GDP growth in the eurozone (following France) and third in the EU (following Croatia and France) next year.
