EC ready to help in Baltic Pipe stalemate

The European Commission has said it is ready to step in and help solve a problem threatening the completion of a pipeline that will bring Norwegian gas to Poland, a Commission spokesman told PAP on Wednesday. The Baltic Pipe faces delays after Denmark withdrew environmental permits for an overland stretch of the pipeline crossing its territory.
