EC president praises Poland's vaccination programme

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has praised Poland as an example of an EU country dealing best with the vaccination process, the head of the prime minister's office said. "In Poland, 94 percent of nursing home medical staff and 80 percent of residents have been vaccinated since the beginning of February, 93 percent in Denmark, and Italy - over 4 percent of the total population. These three examples show that the vaccination campaign in Europe has really accelerated," von der Leyen said.
