A deputy Polish justice minister has accused the European Union of carrying out "acts of aggression" against Poland. Sebastian Kaleta made the accusation just hours after the European Commission announced that it had asked the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) to impose financial penalties on Poland because of its failure to comply with a court ruling emanding the suspension of the disciplinary chamber for judges at the Polish Supreme Court. "The European Commission has been illegally blocking EU funds for Poland and motioning for fines," Sebastian Kaleta wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, adding that these were 'acts of aggression.'
