Duda's main contender clears first hurdle in new election process

Rafal Trzaskowski, the presidential candidate of the centrist Civic Coalition and the main opponent of President Andrzej Duda, on Thursday morning filed for the registration of his election committee having gathered the required 1,000 supporting signatures. Sejm Speaker Elzbieta Witek on Wednesday set June 28 as the election date in the restarted election process.
