Ducky murder case returned from Ukraine to Slovakia after decade

The unresolved case of the murder of erstwhile Slovak economy minister and director of gas utility SPP Jan Ducky more than 20 years ago, featuring a Ukrainian suspect, has been returned to Slovakia after almost a decade by the Ukrainian authorities, Justice Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Drobova told TASR on Monday. A Ukrainian national identified due to legal reasons only as Oleh K. T. had been charged with the murder in Slovakia before the case was handed over to Ukraine in 2010. The suspect had repeatedly failed to appear at court trials in Bratislava.
