Democratic Left backs Poland MEP as candidate for presidency

The Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) has backed MEP Robert Biedron as the coalition's presidential candidate, SLD leader Wlodzimierz Czarzasty said on Tuesday. Commenting on Biedron's candidacy, Czarzasty said he had clear views on several key spheres like secular statehood, the EU and civil freedoms.
