Daily rise of COVID cases slightly grows compared to week ago

Czechia confirmed 8,452 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, or about 240 more than a week ago, unlike in the previous two weeks when the daily rise was always lower in the week-to-week comparison, the latest data released by the Health Ministry today show. The number of patients with COVID-19 treated in hospital decreased below 6,000 after two days again and 963 of them are in serious condition. The coronavirus death toll has been 15,944 in the Czech Republic, with 153 deaths reported on Wednesday.
