Daily rise in COVID cases exceeds 1,000 again in Czechia

The Czech Republic saw 1,047 newly confirmed coronavirus cases on Wednesday, which was 315 more than a week ago, while the number of COVID patients in hospital rose to 299, 60 of whom were in a serious condition, the Health Ministry announced on its website this morning. The number of the COVID hospitalised was over 300 last time in early June. The reproduction number R, standing for the average number of those infected by one person with COVID, declined from 1.33 to 1.39.
